Our commitment to an accessible digital experience

HIPAA Media is committed to ensuring that our website HIPAAReport.com is accessible to all users, including individuals with disabilities. We continually work to improve the accessibility of our website and services in accordance with applicable standards and best practices.

Our Commitment

Our current conformance status: Partially conformant — some content does not yet fully meet all WCAG 2.1 AA criteria. We are actively working to address known gaps.

Technical Specifications

The HIPAA Media website relies on the following technologies for accessibility:

  • JavaScript for interactive components (with keyboard-accessible fallbacks)

Our website is designed to be compatible with:

  • TalkBack (Android)
  • Browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
  • Keyboard-only navigation

Current Accessibility Features

  • All images include descriptive alt text
  • Color contrast meets WCAG 2.1 AA minimum ratios
  • Navigation is keyboard accessible with visible focus indicators
  • Form fields include descriptive labels and error messaging
  • Page structure uses proper heading hierarchy (H1–H4)
  • Links include descriptive text (no "click here" links)
  • Videos (if any) will include captions and transcripts
  • Skip navigation links are provided for screen reader users
  • ARIA attributes are used appropriately for dynamic components

Known Limitations

We are aware of the following areas that may not yet fully meet accessibility standards and are working to address them:

  • Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible — we are working to provide HTML alternatives
  • Complex data tables in scan reports may not render optimally in all screen readers
  • Some third-party embedded content may not meet our accessibility standards
